FENESTRA SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR MICROSOFT'S ACTIVEX TECHNOLOGIES

             FSSocket ActiveX Control to be Internet Enhanced;                        Anticipates VBScript Impact 

PHOENIX, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Fenestra Software(TM) today announced plans to support the Microsoft(R) ActiveX(TM) technologies in the first quarter of 1996. Fenestra Software's FSSocket(TM) Internet Enhanced ActiveX Control will allow developers to build TCP/IP connectivity into their Web page application and automate that functionality with Microsoft Visual Basic(R) Scripting Edition (VBScript).

FSSocket provides an easy to use wrapper around the Windows Sockets API. Properties and Events have been kept to a minimum while still providing the developer with extensive control over all aspects of TCP/IP connectivity. The combination of the FSSocket control, VBScript, and other ActiveX controls will allow the developer to provide almost unlimited Internet connectivity.

FSSocket will be available directly from Fenestra Software in the first quarter of 1996. It will sell for $125.00.
