Fed: Kalejs could be called before Senate inquiry

Alleged Nazi war criminal KONRAD KALEJS could be called to appear before a Senate committee.

The Australian Democrats say Mr KALEJS should appear before the committee to table
a letter he says he received from Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD, clearing him of war crimes.

Mr HOWARD's office has been unable to find a copy of the letter.

Democrats justice spokesman BRIAN GREIG says he'll ask the Senate Legal and Constitutional
